BKT865-LAN-01 Fixed Metal Dock with M12 Ethernet
Fixed heavy-duty metal docking station for the MDT880 and MDT865 rugged tablets, with a threaded M12 Ethernet connector. Replaces the standard RJ45 jack with a lockable industrial coupling for permanent installations where vibration, moisture, or washdown conditions would loosen a conventional Ethernet plug. Includes one RS232 serial channel, USB-C charging, and one camera input on the cradle.
Part of the BKT865 fixed-mount series — the same heavy-duty metal architecture used across the MDT865 and MDT880 platform. The LAN-01 configuration is the networked variant of the series, providing a lockable M12 Ethernet link alongside RS232 and camera input through a permanently mounted dock. The M12-to-RJ45 adapter cable is included for connection to standard network equipment.

Provides one RS232 serial channel, one camera input on the cradle, USB-C charging, and a lockable M12 Ethernet connector via the CAB-LAN-01 cable. The included M12-to-RJ45 female adapter cable connects the M12 coupling to standard network switches and routers. Why M12 Instead of RJ45
A standard RJ45 connector relies on a plastic retention clip that releases under sustained vibration, allowing the plug to work loose from the socket. In fixed installations subject to continuous vibration — industrial machinery, mining equipment, heavy vehicles — an RJ45 Ethernet link can drop intermittently, interrupting network traffic. The M12 connector uses a threaded coupling that mechanically locks the plug to the socket, maintaining contact through vibration, moisture, and washdown conditions. The included M12-to-RJ45 adapter cable lets the installation connect to standard network switches without changing the M12 interface at the dock.

Single-Channel Video on the Cradle
The BKT865-LAN-01 includes one AHD or analog camera input built into the cradle. This provides a single-camera video feed for fixed installations — rear-view monitoring, machine operation view, or entrance surveillance — without requiring a separate camera hub. The tablet receives the video signal directly through the cradle interface and can display, record, or transmit it through the tablet's own software stack.

When to Choose BKT865-LAN-01
Select BKT865-LAN-01 when your fixed installation requires a lockable M12 Ethernet connection that will not loosen under vibration or moisture exposure, alongside one RS232 serial peripheral and one camera input. It is the appropriate choice for industrial machinery, mining equipment, and outdoor fixed installations where a standard RJ45 connector would fail over time. If your deployment does not require Ethernet, the BKT865-BMW provides RS232-only connectivity at lower cost. If the dock must connect to a tablet with USB expansion, the BKT865-OTG adds a USB-A OTG port. If the installation requires a sealed waterproof connector instead of M12 Ethernet, the BKT865-IP offers that interface.

Compatible Tablet Platforms
This fixed metal dock supports two tablet models
The BKT865-LAN-01 mounts to the MDT880 mechanical interface and provides VCC/IGN DC12–32V input, one RS232 channel, one camera input, and lockable M12 Ethernet via the CAB-LAN-01 cable.
The BKT865-LAN-01 also supports the MDT865 with DC12–36V input tolerance. Same physical mount, same M12 Ethernet, RS232, and camera interface set.
