The LAN-02 configuration is the scanning variant of the series, providing a dedicated barcode imager built into the cradle. BKT865-LAN-02 Cradle with 1D/2D Barcode Imager and Optional Ethernet
Provides a built-in 1D/2D barcode scanner, optional RJ45 Ethernet, and a USB-C charging input through the included USB-C-to-C cable. Unlike other BKT865 variants, the LAN-02 is powered via USB-C rather than the vehicle VCC/IGN input — suitable for desktop, workstation, and non-vehicle installations where a power adapter or USB-C power source is available.

What a Built-In Barcode Imager Enables
The barcode imager is integrated into the cradle itself, positioned to read labels presented by the operator without requiring a separate handheld scanner. This eliminates the extra device, its cable, and the pairing step that handheld scanners normally need — the tablet receives scan data directly through the dock interface. The result is a single fixed terminal that both displays information and captures barcode input.

Fixed Station Power via USB-C
Instead of a vehicle VCC/IGN input, the LAN-02 is powered through a USB-C connection using the included USB-C-to-C cable. This makes it appropriate for stationary installations — reception desks, packing stations, dock offices — where a standard USB-C power adapter (compatible with the tablet's charging requirements) provides continuous power. No vehicle wiring is required.

When to Choose BKT865-LAN-02
Select BKT865-LAN-02 when your installation requires a fixed docking station with built-in barcode scanning capability and USB-C power — warehouse check-in desks, packing stations, inventory control points, and dock offices where the tablet is stationary and a standard USB-C power source is available. It combines the imager and the dock into one device, eliminating a separate handheld scanner. If your deployment requires vehicle power input (VCC/IGN), the other BKT865 variants — BMW, IP, OTG, or LAN-01 — provide that interface. If your deployment requires RS232 serial connectivity, LAN-02 does not provide it; the BKT865-LAN-01 includes RS232 alongside M12 Ethernet.

The BKT865-LAN-02 mounts to the MDT880 mechanical interface and provides USB-C power, optional RJ45 Ethernet, and integrated 1D/2D barcode scanning for fixed workstations.
