CRD1065-BAS Series Quick-Release Dock for MDT1065
Entry-level removable vehicle docking station for the MDT1065 10-inch rugged tablet. The CRD1065-BAS series provides the base power and peripheral interfaces for fleets that need a quick-release cradle without the extended I/O of the higher-tier CRD1065 configurations.
The series covers two cable configurations — TYPE-C and TYPE-D — that differ in power type and peripheral interface. Both configurations share the same physical cradle and pogo-pin tablet interface. The difference is in the cable harness and the connectors it exposes.

CRD1065-BAS (TYPE-C) — RS232 with AHD Camera on Cradle
Provides one RS232 serial channel and one AHD camera input (720p or 1080p) on the cradle itself, alongside DC12–36V vehicle power. Suitable for MDT1065 deployments that require a single high-definition camera feed — rear-view monitoring or a specific equipment view — alongside a serial peripheral and vehicle power.

Typical use: Rear-view or equipment camera feed (AHD 720p/1080p) + one RS232 peripheral (diagnostics dongle or weighbridge) on a removable MDT1065 cradle. Suitable for fleets that need occasional tablet removal without complex multi-peripheral integration.
CRD1065-BAS (TYPE-D) — Car Charger Cradle
Charging-only configuration. Provides 12V/24V vehicle power input with no data interface. Used where the tablet is mounted for charging and display purposes without any peripheral connection — for example, passenger-facing information displays or secondary in-cab screens.

Single-Channel AHD Video on the Cradle
The CRD1065-BAS TYPE-C includes one AHD camera input built into the cradle, supporting both 720p and 1080p resolution. This provides a single high-definition video feed for fixed installations — rear-view monitoring, machine operation view, or equipment inspection — without requiring a separate camera hub. The tablet receives the video signal directly through the cradle interface and can display, record, or transmit it through the tablet's own software stack.

How to Choose a CRD1065-BAS Configuration
By interface need: Select TYPE-C if your deployment requires one RS232 serial peripheral and one AHD 720p/1080p camera input on a removable MDT1065 cradle. Select TYPE-D if the tablet is mounted for charging and display only, with no peripheral connection.
If your deployment needs extended serial (dual RS232, RS485), GPIO, USB OTG expansion, or 4-channel camera recording, refer to the higher-tier CRD1065 series. If the dock must be permanently mounted rather than removable, refer to the BKT1065 series.

The CRD1065-BAS series is built specifically for the MDT1065 mechanical and electrical interface. It is not compatible with the MDT880, MDT865, or MDT1080.
