EXT-USB-CAN-01 — USB to CAN Bus Adapter Cable
Field-installable adapter cable that adds CAN Bus capability to rugged tablets and vehicle docks equipped with a USB-A OTG port. One adapter supports up to 2 CAN Bus channels, enabling hardware-level vehicle network access without changing the existing dock or tablet hardware.
Ideal for retrofit deployments, pilot fleets, and mixed-vehicle operations where CAN Bus data is required on some vehicles but not all. Presents a standard CAN interface to the Android OS through the SocketCAN driver stack — no proprietary SDK required.
Native CAN Bus vs USB-to-CAN Adapter
Both approaches give the tablet access to vehicle CAN Bus networks. The right choice depends on whether CAN is a fixed deployment requirement or a flexible add-on.

Technical Specifications
Note: The adapter connects to the dock cable's USB-A OTG port and presents a CAN Bus interface to the Android OS through the standard SocketCAN driver stack.
